Honourable Sunday Bisi is a seasoned public servant and grassroots political leader with over 30 years of experience in governance, public relations, and community development. He currently serves as the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, a role he assumed in 2023. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in repositioning the party as a people-centric and solution-oriented political force within the state.
Hon. Bisi’s professional journey spans several significant roles, including Special Adviser on Environmental and Ecological Matters to the Osun State Government (2003–2010), State Public Relations Officer of the PDP (2020–2022), and Coordinator of the National Poverty Eradication Programme in Ilesa East Local Government (2001–2003). His career began in education, where he served as a teacher for over a decade.
He holds a Bachelor of Education in Guidance & Counselling and History from the University of Ibadan, and a National Certificate in Education from Oyo State College of Education. In 2023, he completed a professional course in digital grassroots governance at Govtrain Solutions, Georgia, USA.
A committed community leader and recipient of the Osun State Grassroots Politician of the Year Award (2023), Hon. Bisi is also a long-standing member of civic and social organisations, including the Ijesa Sports Club and Root Club of Ijesaland. He brings to the board a wealth of leadership experience, policy insight, and a deep understanding of socio-political dynamics at both the grassroots and state levels.
