WESTERN HOUSE, 8/10, BROAD STREET Lagos
Western House is a 20-storey office complex in the Lagos Island Central Business District (CBD) sitting on 2,857m2 of land.
The building has a total of about 13,000m2 of lettable space and has an internal parking space accommodating about 90 cars. The upper floors of the building offers its occupants a clear view of the Marina Bridge which is directly opposite, the Lagos Lagoon, Third Mainland Bridge, Tafawa Balewa Square and many parts of Lagos Island thereby affording occupants vantage positions to sea view as well as traffic view the situation on many connecting roads.
Being the first skyscraper to be constructed on the Lagos Island, Western House shares much historical significance with many of its neighboring properties. Apart from having played host to the national headquarters of many blue chip companies and law chambers, Western House also had many of the foreign embassies in Lagos. It was once said that any business that was not located in Western house was not yet into business.
